Mid-way through wax carving the fairy and stag beetle for Luke's Art Nouveau collection. The green wax is harder and better for detail, the blue wax is softer and so you can work quickly in it.
The fairy will be sent off and cast in silver, when it comes back adjustments will be made and then it can be cast in gold and enamelled. I would like to eventually use plaque a jour or stained glass window effect for this but it is one of the hardest techniques in enamelling so will require practice and tutalige.
The stag beetle will also be sent off to be cast in silver though this will stay silver, the wings will be textured and enamelled in a dark blue, and a stone set into the head (tigers eye for size and shape).
